FAIL SAFE FIELDBUS!it is going to be very interesting subject,conventional wisdom invented TMR and DMR in failsafe PES,Whereas FF can't do that.to compete with failsafe ESD,a fieldbus can be made TMR or DMR with triplicated or duplicated network or if you are sure the physical layer is failsafe then go for optimising network bandwidth and scheduling.
