Hi all,i am developing a hart slave.
The device works and can execute all implemented commandos. I have written a PC program which can communicate with me device over HART Modem.
Furthermore i ve bought me the full spec.But some questions are still not clear to me:
1) Multidrop
How does multidrop mode really work ?
Has my slave to do something different with the signals as it is used in point-to-point ?
It isnt really clear.2)TAG
What does Tag mean exactly. Is it an "extended" address of the device?
Could a device have more Tags (i thinks so, but i am not sure) ??3)Device ID
My company is not a member of HCF.
Can we get a device ID and/or a manufacturer ID without the membership??Please inform me, if you can help me.
