Breaking the digital HART signal from a single instrument is relatively easy today. Devices from Emerson tri-loop, Moore Industries - HIM or a device from SMAR can accomplish this. However I believe the HIM of Moore Industries is the only one that will allow you to address individual instruments on a multi-drop network.
