I think you can conver using a RS485 to RS 232 converter.As I have seen many multiplexer are connected through 485-232 converter to PC.
But how you will be able to access them in LABVIEW.General RS232 reads from LABVIEW didn't work for me so I shifted to another options. Do let me know if you are able to communicate to HART device with labview's RS232 read VI
