Multidropping hart devices.

I have come accross a situation where there are three gauges which are multidropped, all three gauges are ACTIVE devices. Each device sets an output current to 0.8ma, so a total of (3 x 0.8ma) 2.4ma.
Is this allowed in the hart regulations to multidrop three active devices below 4ma?
