There is no problem building the unique ID from rev. 7 devices. The two bytes Expanded Device Type (bytes 1 - 2 in the rev. 7 command 0 reply) are what the host uses to construct the long address. Just the same bytes as in rev. 5. The new 2-byte Manufacturer ID (bytes 17 - 18) is not used for this. HCF will issue unique 2-byte expanded device type codes for each field device.
