Not sure about this - I don't have spec 500 to hand. But I suppose the reason for not cloning dynamic variables is that they would usually be immediately overwritten by real measurements (or derived values). I can see the odd case where it might be useful, for example any veriable depending on past history such as a totalizer or accumulated statistics. Perhaps the solution would be to make it an internal device variable, and then use command 51 to configure a dynamic variable to reproduce that.
